FOR YEARS I STRUGGLED WITH BEING OVERWEIGHT AND UNHEALTHY, WHILE I SLOWLY CREPT CLOSER AND CLOSER TO AN EARLY GRAVE.

From age zero to twenty-five, I slowly added more and more weight, until after college I had put on over 100 pounds of blubber that made any shirt I wore look like an overstuffed bag of marshmallows.

 

Obviously, I wanted to change. But I didn’t just want to get in better shape for a vacation or special occasion and then fall back to where I started. 

 

No. I wanted to STAY that way - forever. 

 

And most importantly, I didn’t want to feel like staying in shape meant I was giving up living a life I enjoyed. 

FOR YEARS I STRUGGLED WITH BEING OVERWEIGHT AND UNHEALTHY, WHILE I SLOWLY CREPT CLOSER AND CLOSER TO AN EARLY GRAVE.

So I tried program after program - ones that promised amazing results like dropping 20 pounds of fat in a month, or introduced me to “new” exercises that were guaranteed to help burn fat faster.

 

Which got me excited! 

 

But nothing changed. 

 

I tried “fat burning” workouts in hopes the weight would finally come off. 

 

But nothing changed. 

 

I tried every pill, fad, and secret the “experts” promised would help me. 

 

But still, nothing changed. 

 

That is, nothing changed until I stopped focusing on fancy-pants workouts and diets, and began focusing on my health first... 

THE HEALTH AND FITNESS INDUSTRY IS BROKEN.

THE HEALTH AND FITNESS INDUSTRY IS BROKEN.

In the quest for more money, more clients, and marketing on fear and pain, instead of actually helping people, the ‘health’ part of health and fitness has fallen by the wayside in favor of what I call “results at all costs.”

 

And this has trickled down to YOU - the person wanting the results. 

 

Reckless fad diets, workouts that leave you battered, bruised, and broken after a couple weeks, and supplements that do absolutely nothing - all this has become the norm. 

 

And yet people continue to get more and more out of shape.(1) 

 

Do you think that’s just a coincidence?

 

The typical approach to fitness had me:

 

  • Feeling hopeless, frustrated, hungry, and STILL overweight.

  • Yo-yo dieting, losing and gaining the same 20 pounds over and over again.

  • Feeling weak, small, and insignificant - like I didn’t even lift. 

  • Believing nothing would ever work for me; that I was one of those people destined to be out of shape forever. 

  • Walking around as a shell of the person I wanted to be: self-conscious, hating what I saw in the mirror, scared to take my shirt off, and an incubator of pending health problems. 

 

Since what I was doing was NOT getting me the results I wanted, eventually, like George Constanza I decided to do the opposite. 

Which meant that I stopped focusing on diet and exercise and started focusing on my health first. 

 

And the results - well, I’ll let you decide for yourself how it worked.

Now, you may be thinking: “Don’t I need diet and exercise to get in shape?”

 

Of course. But all the exercise or all the carb cutting in the world won’t do a damn thing unless you have a foundation of health laid beneath it.

 

You need to make sure that your health and lifestyle supports your training and nutrition - otherwise you’re just going to end up spinning in circles like so many people do, like I did; because most programs—and even most “coaches”—don’t focus on health.

  • Your training plan will be built around not just your goals, but your lifestyle as well. You’ll discover how to train with intensity so you can get more out of your program while spending less time in the gym. I’ll show you ideal exercise execution, so you can get stronger, build more muscle, and drastically alter your physique while reducing your risk for aches and injuries. 

 

  • You’ll get a custom nutrition plan that goes beyond calories and macros, with specific recommendations for what and how to eat to properly fuel your body, lose fat, and build muscle without having to give up the foods you love.
